Marathon is the original entity around which the Zodiak Media.
Philippe Alessandri has been appointed CEO of Marathon (and GTV) in February 2013, in addition to his role at the helm of Tele Images Productions. This nomination follows Pascal Breton’s departure, after many years heading the company he created in 1990.
Marathon, along with GTV, is also the historical drama production cornerstone of Zodiak France. Its portfolio of international and domestic hits encompasses Saint-Tropez, the most widely exported French series in the world (480X52’) ; Dolmen , the top-rated mini-series on TF1 in 2005; Secrets , M6’s best advertising revenue in 2007 ; A Man’s World, a 90’ comedy for M6, and Mystery at the Moulin Rouge, France 2’s #3 best drama ratings in 2011, etc.
In 2012, Marathon delivered drama series Summer Camp (season 2, 8X52’) produced by Yann Chassard for TF1, and Back to St Tropez (16X40’), the spin-off of cult long-running series Saint-Tropez, produced by Pascal Breton and Jérôme Vignac for TMC.
Marathon is also developing ambitious international coproductions including Versailles, a high-budget historical drama coproduced with Capa Drama for Canal +.
